my printer just died doing this... what happened?

last year, 2021, someone gave me a Dell laptop from the late 1990s. i removed the batteries, 8 red ones i think, and they were all still holding a 3.5v charge even though they hadnt been charged for over 10 years. they are all working and holding a charge better than new ones i bought in 2020. Old laptops are a great resource for 18650s

Thanks for the video. I followed exactly the steps in your demonstration, but unfortunately, my printer still doesn't work. It takes out my paper, white with very small traces of black and blue ink. I tried all the cleaning steps, deep clean, etc., but nothing. Any idea?

Hearing your spit in your mouth smacking around is triggering my misophonia pretty hard haha.

My printer is not the same model Cannon therefore this method did not work no matter how much I tried to remove the printhead. Mine is an MG2200 Pixma where the cartridges and printhead are to the right and it wouldn't pop out.

So which is the best? Surely not Aerocell. Either I missed something or there is no explanation unless you understand all the figures! I’d have thought longest discharge time is better but my experience of Aerocell is that they are not best suited to high draw applications.

Applying tape directly over the magnetic playlist not such a good idea because the adhesive can get on that plate. The hose is dangerous to use. I recommend a syringe

Before connecting battery set 4.2v and 0.5 amp for each battery so 4x batteries 2 amp for just safe for cheap old batteries.

Great Video. I've got a MB5320 Canon printer - love love love best line by far that I have owned for a ink jet - 20K pages printed since I bought it. I use the heck out of it. I don't print in color, everything is B&W but of course it still uses color ink which is kind of stupid. Printing was getting really choppy and unusable for my purposes out of align with a ton of missing ink sport bad for barcodes. Print head simply would no longer clean. I pulled mine out and used your video as a reference. I did an initial rinse of the print head then let it soak in mild dish soap and warm water for half hand hour. Don't use chemicals - not necessary. Then ran water through the tubes at faucet speed with moderately hot water until clear - another half an hour. Dried it up gently using a cloth and then a hair dryer on cold. Back to printing like new. Darn if I don't think I'll get another 20K pages out of this beast! Wife was like go get a new one.... nope, just saved me some benjamins as I like to buy the better quality stuff as it tends to last longer! Thanks for the useful video man! Don't let em cry about the music, you do you man!

What cutoff voltage did you use? How long did you wait to measure the "volts after" ? Your MILLIAMPS column should be labeled milliAmp Hours (mAh).
